Wine'n'Things will hold a vertical tasting of Geoff Merrill Reserve Shiraz tomorrow at Crown Wine Cellars in Shouson Hills. Guests will taste the six vintages from 1999 to 2004. The six-course dinner includes a choice for main course of steamed sole fillet with summer asparagus and black truffles, slow-roasted baby veal rack with moscato wine sauce, or grilled Angus beef fillet with truffled potato cake, sauteed wild mushrooms and fava beans. The last course is a choice of brie de Meaux with pears, walnut and raisin bread, or hot chocolate and gianduja pudding and ice cream. The dinner is HK$888. Bookings: 2873 5733

Also holding a wine dinner tomorrow is the Repulse Bay, in conjunction with Valdivia Wines. The four-course meal includes tian of Tasmanian ocean trout on beetroot carpaccio with goat's cheese and black truffle tapenade, paired with the Ca'Bolani Pinot Grigio Aquileia del Friuli 2005, roasted lamb saddle stuffed with veal and wild mushroom mousse, served with Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Zonin 2003, and apple and muscatel crumble with mascarpone ice cream, paired with the Moscato d'Asti Castello del Poggio 2005. The Mistral restaurant at the InterContinental Grand Stanford in Tsim Sha Tsui has foie gras on the menu until the end of the month. Dishes include risotto with foie gras, crispy leeks and scampi, penne pasta with foie gras and duckling ragout, lobster with foie gras and mango (left) and beef tenderloin stuffed with foie gras. Le Tire Bouchon on Graham Street in Central is serving a tasting menu throughout this month for HK$350. The meal includes chilled leek and potato soup with cream and chives,

duo of souffles (goat cheese and sole and salmon), a choice for main course of sliced duck breast with apple and cider sauce or fresh monkfish medallions with champagne cream sauce, and dessert of tarte Tatin with ice cream. Bookings: 2523 5459
