Hong Kong designers had their own Parisian fashion show when the Trade Development Council set out to celebrate the silver anniversary of its magazine, Hong Kong Apparel. In its east-meets-west tradition, the council took clothes designed and made in the territory on a globe-trotting fashion shoot which also included Shanghai and Hangzhou. The aim was to present local fashion in a cosmopolitan context, and no expense was spared in achieving an appropriately glossy look. The results will be revealed at Fashion Week on January 19, but the Sunday Morning Post Magazine had a sneak preview.
