Azure, the restaurant at the top of Hotel LKF in Central, has opened its doors to the general public. The hotel opened last year but, until last month, only guests were able to book a table at the eatery. With interiors by award-winning designer Andre Fu, Azure has a lounge on the 29th floor with two private rooms and a capacity for 30 while the restaurant on the 30th floor can seat 68. The chef is Cedric Alexandra, who worked previously at La Terrasse on Old Bailey Street. Alexandra's menu includes starters of Caesar salad in crispy parmesan cup with duck leg confit and anchovy crostini (HK$128), warm tomato and mozzarella tarte tatin with roasted chilli, pesto and garlic salsa (HK$148), and main courses of whole boston lobster cannelloni with parmesan cheese (HK$340), grilled guinea fowl breast with coconut and mango sauce (HK$198), roasted French pigeon with thyme sauce and wild mushroom risotto (HK$202), and roasted rack of lamb with bitter chocolate sauce (HK$228). The dessert menu features a French cheese platter (HK$108 or HK$155), pineapple tart with vanilla ice cream (HK$95) and chestnut parfait with coffee ice cream and honey-nut brittle (HK$88).
