Scientific evidence officer testified about the safety mirrors in the Tsim Sha Tsui underpass, the scene of the shoot-out on March 17 last year.

Officer Chung Wai-wah found four mirrors in the underpass had been adjusted from their original positions.
'Two of them would be crucial to the alleged ambush by an attacker who was supposed to be standing on a staircase,' he said.
Another mirror at the end of the subway was adjusted to a position so it was nearly useless, he said.

'The alleged attacker could take advantage of the adjusted mirrors when he ambushed the constables.'
