A fire broke out last night in a market in Tseung Kwan O - the second in two weeks at one operated by The Link Management in the new town. Ten people were evacuated from the King Lam market after the fire broke out on the ground floor at about 10.40pm, filling the building with dense smoke. Rescuers later escorted two others to safety. The fire was put out at 12.30am. The blaze came as stallholders at Hau Tak market, about 600 metres away, were still arguing over compensation with The Link over a March 30 fire that damaged their business.
