Lanwa Redbull thrashed 10-man Football Club 6-0 in a First Division league match yesterday. The score came as little surprise after Club, who already had no hope of staying in the top flight next season, travelled with only 11 men to Dongguan for the tough away match. And when their defender Cheung Tsz-kin was forced to leave the pitch because of a hand injury in the sixth minute, Club had to continue with just 10 men. Match official Lam Shing-kui of the Hong Kong Football Association said Club did not violate the rules as they had started the match with 11 men, but added that the visitors should have been aware that they needed replacements in case of injury.
