The Emperor series by Conn Iggulden.  Great reads loosely based on Julius Caesar's  childhood and rise to power.  Some of the few books that I've actually finished.

Mini RC Helicopter. You can find these at  Toys 'R' Us. They don't rely on the wind and fly really well.
