I am a new mum who is yet to get back in shape (read: flabby belly). Where can I find stylish but comfortable tops for jeans? Preferably casual shirts or kaftan-like tops; not T-shirts - they don't hide the bump.

The Dictator rules: Hmm, let me think. What clothes will cover a bump? Oh yeah, maternity clothes. This is probably the last thing you want to hear but I'm not here to spread sunshine. Keep wearing those pregnancy tops and buy more, if necessary, until breast feeding, sleep deprivation, exercise and the simple passage of time restore your tummy to its previous dimensions. Online store www.bunintheoven.com.hk has a number of empire-waisted chiffon tops that work well post-pregnancy as well as a jersey baby-doll style in various colours or a floral print (from HK$250). Keep an eye out for the collection being released at the end of this month. Linea Negra (20/F, 1 Lan Kwai Fong, Central, tel: 2522 7966; www.lineanegra.com.hk) has kimono-style tops with ruching up the sides (HK$620) to help hide your belly and subtly shaped A-line Maternal America tank tops with lovely embroidered details on the back (HK$670). A visit to a fitness-gear shop such as Rush Resort + Swim (unit A2, G/F, Wilson House, 19 Wyndham Street, Central, tel: 3102 0558) could either make you feel better or a lot worse.
It has a wide selection of kaftan tops by brands such as Mandarin Orange (from HK$350) and Echo (from HK$550). If those don't work, try some sit-ups.
Revlon seems to have vanished and with it my favourite eyeliner pencil, ColorStay, which doesn't smudge, is waterproof and stays on for hours. Before I apply the eyeliner I put some powder on my eyelids. Could you recommend a brand with the same qualities?
