Student pleads guilty to exam fraud

A student who sat a Form Five certificate exam in mathematics for a friend admitted guilt yesterday after repeatedly changing her plea in the city's first criminal case of its kind. Leung Hoi-ting, now 20, pleaded guilty in Tuen Mun Court to fraudulently completing the exam in May last year at the request of her friend, Form Six student Yuen Wai-chi. Yuen was ordered to complete 80 hours of community service after admitting the same charge last month. Sentencing of Leung was adjourned to April 30.
