A married businesswoman said she helped a pub's 'public relations officer' to meet the bank requirement for applying for a platinum credit card because 'she wanted to make him happy', the District Court heard yesterday. The PR officer, Cheung Kwun-yin, 28, has denied blackmail and procuring the making of an entry in a bank record by deception. The woman, who said she was cheated out of HK$2 million, admitted under cross-examination she and Cheung had several fights after he discovered she had 'a close relationship' with another man at the pub. The judge ruled there was a case to answer. The hearing continues today.
