Extend library opening times

I WRITE regarding the opening hours at the public libraries operated by the Urban Council and the Regional Council.

At present, the libraries remain closed on public holidays.

I think they should stay open for several hours during such holidays.

The reason is that readers like me like to utilise their free time to read more books and do some research, or look up some difficult topics.

Most people work during office hours, and the library hours are not much different from those hours, although I know they are longer.

I realise that in order for the libraries to remain open the councils have to make extra arrangements for employment of staff in odd hours and so they cannot enjoy their normal days off.
