Lawrence Webb

Global head of trade services and supply chain

Mr Webb moves from his position as regional head of payments and cash management, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, Asia-Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, he will also assume the role of regional head of Asia-Pacific trade services.  Mr Webb joined HSBC in 1981 and has worked in various countries and territories throughout the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East. In 1986, he joined a project team responsible for the development and successful implementation of the HSBC Group's worldwide online banking and payment systems.

Jason Siu

General manager

Star Taiwan

Reporting to Paul Aiello, chief executive of Star, Mr Siu will lead Star's broadcasting operations in Taiwan.  He has been general manager, Chinese programming, Star, in charge of the development of Star Taiwan's television programming, since March last year. He joined Star in 2000 and was promoted to associate vice-president of Star Chinese Movies in 2004.

Richard Grams

Mr Grams will take responsibility for the firm's Guangzhou and Shanghai offices.  He previously headed Oldham Lie and Nie's China practice  and has worked on  foreign direct investment projects, including start-up businesses, reorganisations and acquisitions,  and overseas listings. Mr Grams also advises on  China-related business and compliance matters.

Tania Scott

Ms Scott joins Talent2 in the newly created role of regional marketing manager with responsibility for the mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore  and Malaysia. She will help  raise  the company's profile as Asia's first end-to-end human resource outsourcing  solutions business which includes executive search, talent acquisition management solutions,  assessments and  e-learning management. With over 20 years professional experience, she has worked with a range of start-ups and multinationals including Burson Marsteller, Asia Sport Group and Mindarrow. Before joining Talent2 she was with   the Black Mountain Group, an HR benefits outsourcing company.

Martin Nicholls

Mr Nicholls is an MBA graduate with over 20 years of executive recruitment and human resource consulting experience gained in  Europe and Australasia.   He has been a consultant to many of the world's leading organisations and has specialised in executive search throughout his career. Before moving to Australia in 1987,  he spent 10 years in the recruitment industry in Britain. On moving to Australia he joined Morgan & Banks and was responsible for the growth and management of one of Australia's leading IT  recruitment organisations.     Mr Nicholls will lead Talent2's  executive recruitment operation with responsibility  for senior level assignments.

Paul Day

Project manager Hong Kong

B&Q Asia

As a project management professional with a strong background in B&Q store opening programmes, Mr  Day will oversee the launch of the B&Q flagship store in Hong Kong. He is responsible for various aspects of the  store launch including property and construction, retail design, merchandising, and liaising with consultants.   Mr Day began his career with B&Q as a trade expert offering  knowledge and advice to customers in-store. From 1998, he provided B&Q support in international merchandising and was part of the team that launched the chain's first stores in  Taiwan, the mainland,  Poland and Turkey.

David Crookston

Chief operating officer  for Europe, Asia and  the Middle East

DLA Piper

Mr Crookston has been recruited from JP Morgan's European equities division and will  use his operational and strategic experience to benefit DLA Piper's service areas. The new role was created last year  following a management review and will see  business development, HR, IT and facilities, knowledge and risk management co-ordinated under  Mr  Crookston's leadership.    Mr  Crookston is not expected to take up his new London-based role until June. He will  be a member of the international executive working with DLA Piper's 42 offices in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
