Mercedes in hit-and-run
Police are looking for a dark Mercedes-Benz after a Jockey Club work rider, Wong Yuk-yin, 30, was injured in a hit-and-run in Sha Tin yesterday. The accident occurred when she was crossing Tai Po Road near Sha Tin racecourse at about 4.15am. She was taken to hospital and discharged after being treated for a leg injury.
Woman, 85, chopped
An 85-year-old Cheung Sha Wan woman was in serious condition with chop wounds last night after a 69-year-old neighbour attacked her when she refused to lend him HK$200. The man was arrested.
Primary students love to chat
A survey by the Hong Kong Christian Service has found that one-third of more than 1,400 primary school pupils it interviewed often used the internet for chatting with friends, through instant messaging tools and chat rooms. One in five said they often played online games.
