You know you've done something special when everyone starts copying you.
This is exactly the case with Apple's iPod nano.
Ever since the diminutive music player hit the market, it seems every firm is trying to create a similar product.
The latest model is Samsung's YP-K3. It is a sleek and chic player that offers a good alternative to the ever popular iPod.
The K3 is 5mm longer, 4mm wider and marginally thicker than the nano - only 0.45mm thicker to be exact - so not enough to notice when its in your pocket.
The K3 is encased in a high-gloss shell with a steel frame around the edge which is supposed to protect it from scratches and shocks.
Perhaps because the shiny finish of the K3 makes it distinctly different from its main competitor, Samsung has created a whole marketing campaign around the shininess.
