Be open-minded and look at the bigger picture

I recently read a story about a teacher who

drew a black spot on a whiteboard. She pointed to the whiteboard and asked her students what they saw.

The students said together: 'A black spot!'

The teacher asked: 'What about the board?'

This story taught me a lot. We should always look at the bigger picture.

For example, we should appreciate people's strengths, not just pick on their weaknesses. Similarly, we should adopt a broader view of the world.

We should also be aware that there are 'black dots' in life - not everything is perfect.
