More has emerged about the political and business connections of the fung shui master turned property developer to whom Asia's richest woman, Nina Wang Kung Yu-sum, left her estimated HK$32.7 billion fortune. Tony Chan Chun-chuen has gone into business with the younger brother of Premier Wen Jiabao , a cousin of Macau's chief executive, and a former secretary of late Communist Party chief Zhao Ziyang , information from Shenzhen's companies register shows. Mr Chan is a director of Han Crestbright Environmental Protection Business Management Ltd, a newly established company. Its chairman and general manager is Wen Jiahong , and its legal representative is Zhao Xiaoyi, understood to have been a secretary to Zhao Ziyang. The company is a subsidiary of the Hong Kong-registered Han Crestbright Environmental Group. Also on the board of the subsidiary are Hong Kong businessmen Simon Lo Lin-shing, chairman of New World Cyberbase, and Norman Ho Hau-chong - a cousin of Macau Chief Executive Edmund Ho Hau-wah and an independent non-executive director of Hong Kong Ferry. The new company was registered on December 15 and approved on March 2. It is listed as a Hong Kong-funded company with a registered capital of HK$10 million. Its registered office is on the same floor as Han Crestbright Environmental Group's office in Futian district. The registry shows Wen Jiahong is a director or chairman of eight other companies in Shenzhen, most in the environmental protection business. Wang, the Chinachem Group chairwoman who died this month from cancer aged 69, left her estate to Mr Chan, 48, in an October 2006 will. A purported 2002 will leaves her estate to the Chinachem Charitable Foundation. The parties are set for a court battle over the wills' validity.
