The story of Beatrix Potter
Based on the life of children's author Beatrix Potter, Miss Potter is a light-hearted movie that will make you smile and quite probably cry.
Renee Zellweger plays a single woman heading towards middle age. But unlike the wild and playful Bridget Jones, Potter, the creator of Peter Rabbit, leads a bored and unfulfilled life with her overprotective, upper-class parents.
Her only friends are her imaginary animals.
Life changes dramatically as Potter finds a publisher, becomes hugely successful and falls in love with Norman Warne (Ewan McGregor), the publisher's youngest son who truly admires Potter's work.
However, their love ends abruptly when Warne dies while Potter is on holiday.
With the help of Warne's unmarried sister Millie (Emily Watson), Potter starts to overcome her sadness and moves to the countryside to start a new life.
