The government has lodged an appeal against the acquittal on child pornography charges this month of a magazine that printed photos of a 14-year-old pop star in a wet top. Magistrate Gary Lam Kar-yan found in favour of Easy Finder magazine on April 16 after it, chief editor Yuen Choi-yuk and Paramount Printing were charged under the Prevention of Child Pornography Ordinance. It was the first time the ordinance had been used against a media outlet.
