It's almost every girl's dream to own a different handbag for every day of the month. Louis Vuitton has turned dreams into reality with its latest creation: the Marilyn Trunk. Adorned with LV's iconic multicolour monogram, created by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, the trunk holds 33 limited-edition styles of the retro-inspired Marilyn handbag.
The handbags, made from the same canvas that covers the trunk, feature alligator panels in various colours. Depending on your mood or outfit, decorate your shoulder with a splash of red, yellow, blue, purple, mint, brown or aqua, to name a few. As with all LV trunks, this one is lined in red velvet and comes with four drawers in which to store other valuables (or the alligator authenticity certificates!) The trunk is only available through special order and will set you back approximately HK$1.7 million.
For those who can't afford to indulge in such fantasies, the Marilyn, in selected colours, is available in store for the bargain price of HK$40,000 to HK$45,000.
