Providing your pet with food and shelter is not enough. What really counts is the time you spend with your 'best friend' and how much love and care you give them.
The organisers of a competition hoped to raise awareness of animal welfare and respect for animals.
Co-organised by the Lamma Animal Welfare Centre and iPETchannel.com, the 'Memorable Moments' Pet Videos & Photos Competition invited pet owners to send photos and video clips of their beloved animals.
They were asked to donate HK$50 for each entry. More than 200 entries were received over a three-week period.
At the prize presentation, Mr Chung - winner of the photo category - shared his experience in keeping pets with the audience.
'Every pet is unique. If you want them to love you, you have to spend time playing and communicating with them,' he said. 'Show them that you love them and care about them.'
