Glashutte celebrates the 155th anniversary of Julius Assmann with a new edition to the series of the same name. Assmann was one of the founders of the watch industry in the town of Glashutte when he set up his own watch company in 1853. The Glashutte brand has created the Julius Assmann 4 in commemoration, which can be worn as a watch or used as a pocket watch. The skeletonised model showcases the mechanics of the Calibre 46 movement, which features a tourbillon and retrograde hour display. Flat parts of the movement have been engraved to demonstrate the work of art and skilled craftsmanship that it is possible to achieve on tiny components. The watch has a rose gold 45mm case and a crocodile skin strap.
