Updated at 6.55pm: A police sergeant was convicted on Tuesday of offering tip-offs about police raids to a shop selling pornographic video discs in exchange for money.
The District Court ordered Leung Chee-kong, 46, to be remanded in custody after a jury found him guilty of six counts of bribery charges.
The charges included five counts of public servant accepting an advantage and one of a public servant soliciting an advantage.
Handing down the verdict, Deputy-Judge Rickie Chan Kam-cheong was quoted by local radio as saying he found the testimony of a witness, who was a seller of pornographic discs, to be ?credible?.
The seller, who has a criminal record, had testified as a prosecution witness under an immunity order.
Mr Chan adjourned sentencing to June 1 pending mitigation plea and a background report.
