Hong Kong's top two squash players are all set to defend their titles at  the Crocodile Hong Kong Closed Championships  next week.

The draw for the prestigious tournament - launched more than 30 years ago - was announced at a press conference on Monday.  It is  organised by Hong Kong Squash and sponsored by Crocodile.

Hong Kong's leading players, including 11-time women's champion Rebecca Chiu Wing-yin and four-time men's title-holder Wong Wai-hang, will take part in the May 21-June 2 tournament  at the Hong Kong Squash Centre.

Categories include the men's and women's singles and masters.

In the women's event, top seed Chiu will face Leung Shin-nga or Lee Lok-man on May 30. Second seed Christina Mak Pui-hin will take on the winner of the match between fifth seed Joey Chan Ho-ling and Chan Wing-hei.

In the men's section, top seed Wong will meet Lau Siu-nam in the second round  on May 29, while second seed Dick Lau Siu-wai will come up against Glen Hitch or Alex Tancok.

Asked whether he can win the championship for the fifth time in a row, Wong said: 'I will have to see if I can do it.  I'll prepare the best I can.  I have a good chance of getting into the top four. If I reach the semis, I will need to become focused and serious.'

Wong said Max Lee Ho-yin is one of the players to watch out for.

'He has the ability to do well. He's very agile,' Wong said.

The tournament will act as a warm-up for  Annie Au Wing-chi and Leung Shin-nga before they defend their team title  at the World Junior Women's Championships in Hong Kong from August 1-11.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong  will welcome world-class  players for the Crocodile Squash Challenge Cup  from September 12-16.

The event, approved by the Women's International Squash Players' Association and the Professional Squash Association, involves a 16-player draw and offers prize money of HK$140,000.
