HK trips for mainlanders married in July '97

One hundred mainland couples due to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary in July will be treated to an all-expenses-paid five-star holiday in Hong Kong to enjoy the handover celebrations. The special visit, from June 30 to July 2, is being organised by the Federation of Hong Kong Hotel owners, the Hong Kong Hotels Association and the Association of Travel Agents. The selection process will be conducted by travel operators in 10 mainland cities. Michael Wu Siu-ieng, a member of the association's executive committee, said the trip is a chance to make up for all the recent negative news about shopping scams.
