What drives it? A two-litre, four-cylinder, front-wheel-drive, 16-valve CVT engine and a six-speed automatic transmission.
How much poke does it have?
It delivers 137 brake horsepower at 5,200rpm. The dealer couldn't tell us the van's top speed, but it's fast enough for Hong Kong's gradients.
How safe is it? A six-star collision safety rating in Japan, thanks to anti- lock braking, electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist. Dual front airbags, pre-tensioner seatbelts, Isofix child seat anchorages and a collapsible steering column come as standard.
Hong Kong friendly? Dubbed an 'environmentally friendly private car' by the Environmental Protection Department, it drinks 7.58 litres of fuel over 100km and spews 176g of CO2 per kilometre. This is good for a van, but you'll emit just 109gpk (grams per kilometre) in a four-seater Peugeot 107, which failed to win the Serena's Green status in EPD tests.
Nice touches: Automatic sliding doors, flat floor, walk-through layout, flexible seating layouts and layouts configurations are useful features.
