Can you buy vintage wedding dresses in Hong Kong?
Bridezilla, Chung Hom Kok
The Dictator rules: Oh how cute! Can't wait to hear what other adorable ideas you have for the wedding. (Actually, I can.) There are countless vintage stores online, including the selections on eBay. If you want to find something in Hong Kong, it takes a bit of legwork. We were recently introduced to a little gem in Causeway Bay by a resource-ful friend (yes, we have some): Satis Factory Vintage Emporium (suite 2A, 2/F, 8 Pak Sha Road, Causeway Bay, tel: 9783 5141). Run by a sweet lady with a cat, the shop stocks wedding dresses from the 1920s to the 70s from Britain, France and the US. The haute option is Mies (G/F, 38 Aberdeen Street, Central, tel: 2549 6664), a by-appointment atelier that stocks vintage dresses with big-name labels and prices to match. Another place worth trying is the eclectic Amours Antiques (G/F, 45 Staunton Street, Central, tel: 2869 9868).
You once wrote about a place in Lyndhurst Terrace that sells organic cosmetic products from Australia. Could you please let me have the address again?
