CitySeen has reported that 14 local girls passed auditions to be in the homegrown version of the musical, Peter Pan, which opened at the Academy for Performing Arts' Lyric Theatre on Saturday (June 1) after a two-year tour of Asia.

There are two Peter Pans in the show, Michael Lin (left) and Ryutaro Yanagita (right), as all that flying is quite exhausting.

'The flying part is the most difficult because we only have a limited time for rehearsals,' Michael said.

The show initially started in Hong Kong in 2005, toured to Singapore and Manila, and it is being staged here again until June 24.

Michael and Ryutaro are unsure whether they want to be actors when they grow up. 'I still don't know yet, I think I am still too young to decide,' Michael said, while Ryutaro said: 'I can be an actor, a concert singer or even a basketball player because I like playing basketball.'

Well, if Peter Pan turns basketball player, then those flying abilities could be quite an advantage. For tickets to Peter Pan, contact HK Ticketing at 3128 8288; for programme inquiries, call 2547 7150.
