Organisers of the Olympic Day Run hope to attract about 3,000 participants this year.
The fun-oriented annual event will be held at 8.30am on June 24 at Wan Chai Sports Ground.
It is part of a worldwide movement by member countries of the International Olympic Committee that attracts people of all ages and backgrounds, including popular athletes and other celebrities.
The theme of this year's race, organised by the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC), is 'Activate your Sports Potential'.
It aims to introduce running as a leisure activity, and encourage a healthy lifestyle among the public.
The three-kilometre route will take runners past Golden Bauhinia Square on the waterfront and landmarks such as the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, along Tonnochy Road and Fenwick Pier Street, around a turning point at Citic Tower, and finish at Wan Chai Sports Ground.
