Lenovo Group's principal activity is the development, manufacture and marketing of information technology products and services worldwide. It was formed through the group's acquisition of the former IBM Personal Computing Division and globally offers ThinkPad notebooks and ThinkCentre desktops, as well as a full line of PC accessories and options. The group also offers mobile handsets, servers, peripherals and digital entertainment products for the China market. It has research centres in Yamato in Japan; Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen in China; and Raleigh in the United States. Lenovo is also the computer technology equipment partner of the International Olympic Committee from 2005 to 2008.
