Wardrobe staple?

Petite Bateau tees, cute cardigans from Elie  Tahari and Schumacher, JBrand skinny jeans and anything from Paul & Joe.

What would you never throw from your closet?

It pains me to throw anything away. I'm such a hoarder.

Fashion no-nos?

I've never worn anything frilly or lacy in my life. It's too ladylike for me.

Favourite shoe designer?

Roger  Vivier, Christian  Louboutin and  Alaia.

Perfect pair of jeans?

I'm only wearing JBrand  these  days and I have them in every style and colour.

Must-have accessory?

My engagement ring and watch. Besides that, I love  all kinds of belts.

How many pairs of shoes do you have?

This has been a constant issue for me  and my other half. I'd rather  not tell.

Bag pick of the season?

Tod's  bags for the day and Roger Vivier pouches for evenings.

Flats or stilettos?

Flats, for sure, especially this season. I have ballerina flats in every colour.

Most cherished fashion item?

The white beaded clutch  my mother carried at her wedding in the 1960s. Sadly, I lost it during one of the many times I've moved  homes.

Most expensive fashion item?

It's the accumulation of items  that are bought on impulse that I consider the most expensive.

Favourite designer?

There are a few brands I seem  partial to,  such as  Alberta Ferretti,  Marchesa, Johanna  Ho, Vanessa  Bruno, Paul & Joe and Lanvin.

Favourite summer trend?

Ballerina flats.

What do you buy every summer?

Anything in linen: dresses, shirts,  trousers, bags, shoes ...

What's on your most-wanted list  this season?

The long Magic Alhambra  necklace from Van Cleef & Arpels.

High-end or high-street?

Both, but it really depends on what I'm looking for. For cocktail, formal or evening frocks, it's really  hard to find them in high-street stores.

Your best high-street steal?

I bought a Halston-like dress from  a flea market in St Paul de  Vence in France. It was a real steal.

Fashion disaster?

Too many to recall, especially when I was younger.

What colours and prints are you wearing this summer?

I'll be wearing more colourful clothes. I also like stripes. For bags and shoes, I'll be going for a lot of metallics like gold and silver.

Favourite resort wear?

Kaftans, summer dresses, sunglasses, headbands, flip-flops, beach bags and playful accessories.

Sunglasses?

It's got to be the new range of sunnies from Tom Ford.

Your fashion style?

Classic with a modern twist.

Best-kept fashion secret?

A tailor who does fantastic alterations in Melbourne Plaza in Central.
