Customs seized 1,219 stun guns and arrested a 35-year-old local driver at the Lok Ma Chau border checkpoint after a Hong Kong-bound truck was stopped for an X-ray inspection at 11.45am on Monday. A check found unmanifested goods worth HK$2.56 million, including the stun guns, mobile phones, cellphone accessories, pirated DVDs and counterfeit goods. A customs spokesman said an investigation showed the stun guns, classified as firearms in Hong Kong, were for re-export. The driver has been released on bail pending further investigation.
