Choy on a platter
Remus Choy Yat-kit, of local band Grasshopper, is known for his flamboyant singing and dancing. But next month he will wear a different hat - that of DJ.
Choy (left) - aka DJ Remus - will perform on the first night of a three-day concert next month that will also feature progressive house and street fashion, along with actor-DJ Sam Lee Chan-sum.
'Music has been a crucial element of my life since a very young age. It doesn't matter whether I'm wandering the street or in my bed - I have to listen to music,' Choy said.
Asked which role he prefers - dancer, singer or DJ - Choy paused: 'They involve different stages, one is at the DJ booth and the others are performing on stage. They both give me different feelings.
'When you're at a DJ booth, and the audience likes the music, they'll wave their hands in the air and start dancing. It's satisfying to see thousands of people all moving at the same time. It's quite a scene,' said the 40-year-old.
Choy isn't intimidated by the prospect of playing with top musicians including Rapper Chingy, Flash Brother, Clinton Sparks and Gareth Emery.
