Despite being inspired by Nashville, Lost Highway, Bon Jovi's 10th studio album, will still appeal to long-time fans.

It's been 25 years since the New Jersey rock band blasted onto the 80's music scene and made a name for themselves with head-banging favourites such as You Give Love a Bad Name and Livin' on a Prayer.

Lost Highway is the most expressive Bon Jovi record to date. It debuted at No 1 on the US Billboard charts, something the band hasn't achieved since 1988's New Jersey.

Lead guitarist Richie Sambora's divorce from wife Heather Locklear is the likely inspiration for tracks Whole Lot of Leavin', Seat Next To You, Everybody's Broken and the Leann Rimes duet Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore.

One of the best songs is moving ballad (You Want To) Make A Memory. The music video is fittingly reminiscent of the movie The Sixth Sense.

Another highlight is rock song We Got It Going On, with its pounding bass and guitar riffs.
