'I was in my Guangxi village home in 1997. I knew that Hong Kong had reunited with the mainland at the time, but I was too busy to watch the ceremony on TV. As a Chinese, I was definitely happy to see the reunification. Things have improved for Hong Kong with the mainland supporting it. The most obvious change is that people can now travel solo to Hong Kong. It is much easier than before: in the past, it took a month to fix the visa, now you only need a week. You can imagine how Hong Kong can benefit from the influx of eager shoppers.'
