The extradition hearing of accused American sex offender Kenneth John Freeman will be adjourned to July 19 to allow his barrister, Surman Giles, more time to go through the extradition documents and examine the prosecution evidence, Eastern Court ruled yesterday. Freeman, 44, is accused of raping his daughter and jumping bail in Washington state. He also faces charges of posting a video of the rape online as an act of child pornography. The defendant, a former sheriff's deputy, is reported to have been working for a US-based company on the mainland since fleeing there last year. Hong Kong police arrested him in May at the Lok Ma Chau immigration checkpoint.
