A number plate from a car that knocked down a 13-year-old boy in a hit-and-run accident yesterday in Kowloon City led police to its owner, 52. He was being questioned last night at Mong Kok police station after the car was found at Telford Gardens in Kowloon Bay. The Form One student was in stable condition at Queen Elizabeth Hospital with injuries to his head, arms and legs. In a separate case, a woman, 49, died after a delivery van hit her in Wing Hong Street, Cheung Sha Wan. The driver, 45, was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and released on bail.
