Also, if someone uploads his music video to YouTube, he could win a recording deal.

Sites like YouTube encourage more people to go online, and create publicity for those who want it. Uploading videos may even help jobless people find employment. For example, Hong Kong's 'Bus Uncle' was able to find work because he became famous thanks to YouTube.
