Tests for cancer-causing chemicals produced during food preparation have found levels too low to create a threat to health, the Centre For Food Safety said yesterday. Most of the 300 samples tested for chloropropanols, which can also harm the kidneys, liver and central nervous system, had levels below the limits of detection, the centre said. Roast pork and ready-to-eat seaweed were found with the highest levels, but even they were no threat to health under normal consumption.

The former flat-owner, 38, was arrested on suspicion of possession of ammunition.
