Top Korean actress Song Hye-kyo (below) was seen but not heard at Celine's fashion show on Wednesday afternoon. The idol decided not to say a word to the press, even though the whole purpose of her appearance was to publicise a handbag she helped design. Instead, the label's PR people had to give us the spiel on her variation on the label's Bittersweet oversized tote, which has an attached cosmetics bag and 10 pockets and dividers. It will be a limited edition of 100, each with Song's handwritten signature and available from October in Asia. Hong Kong will get only 10 and the price is a hefty HK$18,888. However, a portion of that will go to a children's charity under Song's name. By e-mail, CitySeen did manage to get a comment from the silent star. 'I travel a lot so I want a bag that's stylish and practical. I worked on every detail, from leather selection to the pockets, lining, shoulder straps and the cosmetics pouch inside. 'My ideas were sent to Ivana Omazic, Celine's artistic director, and after several months of correspondence, I finally met her in Paris in March to finalise the design,' she explains.
