Supermodel Eunis Chan Ka-yung (below) was typically making the scene at Shanghai Tang's new Silk Road collection show on Monday, but lately she's just as likely to be in her kitchen making soup. The catwalk diva has even published a bilingual book of her brothy recipes. 'I love soup very much,' Chan says, claiming she still drinks soup made by her mum every night. 'I would bring my thermos to work all the time and give some of it to other models too. They always asked me to give them the recipes and I would have to copy them in English one by one, which is tiring. So they suggested I put all the soups in a book.' Contrary to the popular belief that models don't eat, Chan argues she has a big appetite for more than just liquid diets. Following in the footsteps of fellow fashion icons Kathy Chow Man-kei and Vanessa Yeung Tsang, Chan has also started appearing on travel and food TV programmes. 'If I am given the chance to host a TV cooking show, I'd definitely go for it. But I won't give up modelling.' Although her first tome was just released last week at the book fair, Chan already has plans for a follow-up recipe book. This one will be on sweets. 'My dessert recipes though won't make you fat because they are all very healthy.'
