Singer Vivian Chow Wai-man says her relationship with long-term partner Joe Ngai Jan is solid, despite magazine reports that he's dating other women. Chow (right) says that they're happy together because they never intrude on each other's private space. 'Joe and I believe that we need our own space,' Chow said at a recent event for charity group Po Leung Kuk. 'But I believe we're faithful to each other. There's no room for a third person to break up our relationship.' 'I'm sure when we first met, both of us had our own admirers and, after the years we have been together, we've developed a strong bond and communicate with each other well. We also implicitly trust each other.' Chow retired from the stage in 1994 because of media intrusion into her personal life. She moved to Vancouver with Ngai to enjoy a quieter life. But the singer returned to the limelight as a celebrity spokesperson for a cosmetic brand and played some concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum in May last year. Rumours that Chow and Ngai would break up surfaced when the couple returned to Hong Kong. Chow is now pleading with the media to give her a break. 'All the gossip about Joe and I breaking up isn't true. I really feel my privacy has been invaded by the Chinese paparazzi. Every time I go out, I'm followed by a dog pack of tabloid writers, so I'm asking them to please give me some space and privacy,' said the 39-year-old.
