Co-branded credit card adds value for shoppers

Credit cards go hand in hand with shopping, but MegaBox is the first mall in Hong Kong to launch a co-branded card with a bank.

In partnership with Hang Seng Bank, the Hang Seng MegaBox Card offers exclusive shopping, dining and entertainment privileges - including free parking in reserved spaces.

MegaBox general manager Andy To said: 'This innovative co-branded card programme adds further value to our array of shopping, entertainment, dining and cultural delights.

'We are confident that we can create and sustain new business flows by introducing more and newer shopping and entertainment attractions, presenting greater value to cardholders.'

He said tenants had been 'very supportive' of the programme which extended from new-to-Hong Kong flagship stores to the city's first international-sized ice rink, largest single-storey bookstore and the UA MegaBox cinema.

Along with exclusive year-round special offers and promotions at the shopping complex, cardholders also earn a reward of a HK$1 MegaBox Dollar for every HK$250 Card spent at MegaBox. Accumulated MegaBox Dollars can be used as cash for future purchases at the 58 participating merchants. Cardholders also earn Hang Seng Cash Dollars on spending at other shops, year-round discounts at more than 2,800 merchant outlets in Hong Kong, and interest-free instalment offers at designated stores.
