Time is ticking and here is a chance to join one of the world's leading watch and jewellery manufacturers. Levin Human Capital Consulting Group is handling the search for an experienced store manager for luxury goods. A proactive person with at least eight years' retail experience and three years at a management level in luxury products, is expected to achieve sales and profit targets, manage day-to-day store operations and provide excellent customer service. Spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua is essential. The group which owns about 10 brands and sells in Hong Kong and Macau needs someone to manage five to eight staff, depending on the size of the store. This role is an important one that will hasten the company's fast expansion, said Henry Lai, human resources consultant. 'The demand for luxury goods in the retail business is expanding dramatically, especially in Macau with all the new shopping malls.' The incumbent may be relocated and assigned to a store in Macau, where a housing allowance will be provided. Motivation and flexibility would be key, as the role would involve training Macau employees who operated differently from Hong Kong retailers, he said. 'The challenge is that there are many unknowns, if you are stationed and selling in Macau, you are predicting from a Hong Kong sales target,' Mr Lai said. 'You will have to manoeuvre and adapt to Macau's clientele. The employees and environments will be different.' Candidates who show stable past employment, a willingness to learn and desire to pursue a strong career in retailing are encouraged to apply.
