Police who raided a Mong Kok brothel yesterday found six suspected mainland prostitutes hiding in a secret room behind a bathroom wall. 'The door was in a wall covered with tiles. It was locked by remote control,' said Chief Inspector Andrew Sin Wai-kwan. The room, in a Nathan Road flat, was 6 metres square and contained only mattresses. The brothel accepted only regular customers, who had to give a secret code to gain access, police said. Officers arrested six women aged 18 to 32 and a local man, 52, who is believed to have run the brothel.
