Someone with a strong sense of commitment is sought for this position to help safeguard Hong Kong's status as an international financial centre.
The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants is looking for an assistant director, compliance, to join its compliance team made up of professionals tasked to revitalise the institute's regulatory functions.
'The institute has been expanding its compliance team to enhance its regulatory function,' said Philip Hilliard, director, compliance.
Certified Public Accountants with a minimum of eight years post-qualification experience in professional auditing, assurance or investigation work would be responsible for dealing with complaints, carrying out investigations and disciplinary work, providing technical and administrative support and responding to queries.
'Our work in regulation is geared towards a simple goal: commanding public trust and confidence,' Mr Hilliard said.
'Its regulatory function is one of the fundamental responsibilities of the institute that ultimately helps protect the image of Hong Kong as a leading financial centre.'
