Academic whizz-kid is really just a nine-year-old at heart
Often you hear of children named by their parents in the hope of raising them to greatness. Or because they were fans of a certain musician or actor.
Not so nine-year-old child prodigy March Boedihardjo, who was named after the month in which he was born.
His father, Tony Boedihardjo, revealed this week they could not think of a name for their son born on March 30, 1998, the third day of the month in the Chinese lunar calendar, so March it was.
And when the father said going to university was the 'only option' for his son, he really meant it.
Tony Boedihardjo, who did say this week that the family had made no further plans for March, even said his son would resit the A-levels to make up for the B in statistics.
'We will have to wait for the universities to get back to us,' said Mr Boedihardjo, who claims to be shielding his son from the glare of publicity by not allowing his picture to be taken.
