Taxi driver gets scare

A TAXI driver had a gun pointed at him last night when he could not tell his passenger where to buy rope. He had picked up the man, aged about 30, in Cameron Road near the Park Hotel at about 9 pm and was told to go to the Macau Ferry Pier.

The passenger asked him where to buy rope and when the driver said he did not know, the man pulled out a handgun and pointed it at him. The driver abandoned his taxi in Tsim Sha Tsui to find a policeman. When he returned the man had gone.
