Man dies after being found in ditch

A 48-year-old man died in hospital yesterday after he was discovered lying in a ditch on a hillside behind a parking lot in Wing Chuk Street, Wong Tai Sin.

A passer-by had spotted the man, who had lost consciousness, and notified police around 11.30am. The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he was declared dead just after noon. Police revealed that the victim, surnamed Yau, had had an illness. However, they offered no further details.
