An RTHK disc jockey and his sister yesterday pleaded not guilty to a charge of conspiracy to defraud.
The ICAC alleges that Leung Ka-fai and Josephine Leung Wai-ka falsely represented that the latter had provided scriptwriting and research services to the broadcaster in 2001, for which it paid HK$10,600, Kowloon City Court heard.
The graft buster alleges that Josephine Leung, 40, provided no such services to the broadcaster.
Leung Ka-fai, 34, is better known by his on-air name Roland Leung Yik-lun.
The Leungs pleaded not guilty to one joint charge of conspiracy to defraud and each was released on HK$5,000 bail. They were ordered to return to Kowloon City Court on October 24 for trial.
A prosecutor for the Independent Commission against Corruption said nine prosecution witness would be called to testify in the case, including investigation officers and RTHK radio staff.
