Art by the harbour

Rebecca Tsui

Harbour City is hosting an exhibition called My Fancy Doll House from September 4 to 23 at Gallery by the Harbour.

The exhibition will feature Japanese-style paper cutting art by Toishi Kayo.

Kayo's artworks are an intense blend of colours contrasts, and each character she creates is unique and will raise a smile.

Glass sculptures by Gary Li and Janice Au are also on display.

Li is one of the few glass artists in Hong Kong who uses lampworking skills to create beautiful girls.

Au, a full-time glass artist, creates her artwork from kiln-formed glass, which requires a lot of preparation and skill.

Gallery by the Harbour is a newly launched 1,000-square foot art space with a 20-foot-high ceiling and ceiling-to-floor windows overlooking Victoria Harbour.

The gallery is open to public for free, daily from 11am to 9pm. For enquiries, call 2118 8666.
